Tony Lee was awarded a commendation at a gala dinner at the Emirates Stadium at the north and west London Business Awards. The ceremony was staged by Archant, the largest newspaper group in the region, and sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial.
Tony is a true Hackney Community College success story.
He worked at the College while studying for his Business and Administration Apprenticeship, getting strong experience by supporting the executive team. He then moved over to the Registry department and after his Apprenticeship, he was successful in securing a job there.
He's now a valued member of the customer services team.
Tony said: "It was an honour to be invited to the ceremony. I enjoyed my Apprenticeship and I love working at Hackney Community College. That is reflected in the work that I do. This commendation is a great bonus."
Tony's manager, Sue Pemble, commented "Tony is a real asset to our department and the whole college. His professionalism and friendly smile is so welcomed by our staff, students and visitors alike. He is a good role model for young people and his diligent and flexible attitude to his working life is admirable"
