London Colleges

Cost of study

stuplan_EU_cost of study_large If you are aged 16-19 and studying full-time, you will not normally be required to pay course fees. However, some colleges do charge a registration or enrolment fee which is refundable on successful completion of the course.

If you are 19 plus, or studying part-time, most colleges will make a charge for the course. The college may also charge an enrollment fee. Discounts are available to students depending on their circumstances. You should check the individual college's refund policy before paying for a course, as many colleges have restrictions to allow them to plan their year.

Full-time London students are able to apply for a student photocard, which entitles you to a third off the usual price of a travelcard. There is a small fee for students over 18, and you need to have your completed form and photo stamped by your college. The card is only valid for the academic year.

You should allow for other expenses associated with your study. These include books, equipment and materials. Sometimes second-hand text books and equipment are available from students who previously studied your course. Check your college noticeboards.
