Most of the students at sixth-form colleges are aged between 16 and 19, and study full time. The teachers are specialists in dealing with students at this stage of their education, and subjects and courses offered are designed to meet their needs.
Further Education (FE) colleges offer a wide range of courses for all ages and abilities with the opportunity to work towards a variety of qualifications. They are often able to offer specialist tuition with experienced staff from a range of different backgrounds, including business and industry.
